Career-building opportunities

The logistics sector provides a broad spectrum of jobs and ongoing opportunities for advancement, with major companies investing in workforce upskilling and training to foster career growth.

Strong Supply Chain for Family Well-being

Logistics plays a crucial role in supporting families by strengthening the supply chain, ensuring that essential goods and services are consistently available to meet their needs. A well-managed supply chain enables the timely delivery of products, such as food, clothing, and household items, which directly impacts a family’s quality of life.

Affordable Goods for an Inclusive Community

By maintaining a reliable supply chain and focusing on cost-effective solutions, logistics providers enable families to enjoy a wide range of products and services at affordable prices. This not only empowers individuals with more choices but also contributes to a more equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Supply chain efficiency

Warehouses are a critical link in the supply chain, ensuring the timely delivery of essential supplies and meeting the growing demand for efficient and reliable delivery of goods, particularly in the age of e-commerce.

Benefitting Communities

Logistics sector businesses are long-term community investors. They support public safety, schools, parks, sidewalk improvements. We create mixed-use projects that include retail, restaurants, offices and affordable housing – so employees can live near their homes, thereby reducing vehicle miles and improving air quality.

Bolstering Local Businesses

By ensuring a robust supply chain, logistics providers help local businesses maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize the costs associated with storing and transporting goods.

Supporting a Flourishing Local Economy

A strong supply chain, supported by efficient logistics and warehousing, has a direct impact on the health of the local economy. Thriving businesses create more job opportunities, stimulate economic growth, and contribute to increased tax revenues that can be reinvested in public infrastructure and services.

Protecting a Women’s Right to Choose

We applaud the County Supervisors for protecting a woman’s right to choose and ensuring access to safe and affordable healthcare for all. We recognize the importance of ensuring everyone has access to the care they need, regardless of their background, race, sexual orientation or income. Thankfully the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the L.A. County Abortion Safe Haven Project, a network of advocates and health care professionals to ensure every person has access to safe reproductive care.

With five women on the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, the Board has an unique opportunity to not only support but also proactively advocate for a host of women’s issues.

Join us in the continued mission to champion the rights of women in our communities and throughout L.A. County by filling out the form below.
